What impact will volta have in Portugal?
Todos os anos, em Portugal, são consumidas 2.1 mil milhões de embalagens. The implementation of volta will enable:
A significant increase in the collection and recycling of single-use beverage packaging (plastic and metal (aluminium) bottles and cans)
A reduction in litter in public spaces
Improved quality of recycled materials, allowing them to be reused in new packaging (bottles become bottles again, and cans become cans again)
